Review of Gangs Jr., a tabletop wargame designed for kids

Gangs Jr. was my first foray into playing wargame style tabletop RPgs, and it actually worked really well as an introduction for myself, in addition to being a lot of fun for my kid. We ran a very fun water balloon fight across a map covered in blocks and toys, and loved the simplified system for getting both a newcomer and a little one into a new type of gaming.

Review of Jump Rangers, an all-ages sci-fi tabletop RPG

Jump Rangers is a full game system (complete with gear, a creature list, lore, characters, and stories) that plays out like an epic space opera! The storytelling was great, and kiddo loved using special powers to resolve some exciting scenes – go high and go far, Rangers!

Dino Riderz is another awesome game setting released by Family Fantasy RPG, this one focusing on… dinosaurs! The Family Fantasy RPG system is a tabletop role-playing game designed for all ages, stepping in difficulty depending on your child’s age and including lots of awesome additional activities to complete during these storybook style adventures!

Review of Babies and Broadswords, a tabletop RPG full of fun and mischief

I played Babies and Broadswords with the creators of the game and had a blast! It’s a perfect balance of mechanics (not too easy and not too hard), and it was a great throwback to mornings watching Rugrats with my siblings. I had a lot of fun, and I highly recommend playing with both your kids and your grown-up tables!

Review of Overgrown, a nature-punk tabletop RPG for all ages!

I played Overgrown with my 3yo, and we had a lot of fun! The chaotic combinations of creatures that make up the player’s characters was a HUGE hit with kiddo (who picked an Owlcat named Owllie), and the d20 only mechanics were easy for kiddo to understand. We ran a fun adventure that started with chasing a flock of sharkbirds (which we are calling a tornado of sharks) that were trying to steal breakfast from some mice, and had a great time letting my 3yo navigate the story from there! I hope you have a great game too!
