TTRPGkids on Ludology Podcast, Episode 22: Using TTRPGs to focus on joy in learning
TTRPGkids has a regular spot on Ludology Podcast, and in this part of the series, I’ll be talking about educational TTRPGs! Episode 22 talks about the importance of supporting a love of learning, why its important for all students (even if there isn’t an outward issue), and how TTRPGs can be a medium for all of this.
Ludology podcast is a discussion-based show about the hows and whys of tabletop games! They have longer form episodes every other week, and, on one of the off weeks each month, we have the TTRPGkids show. These shorter episodes will cover topics that are focused on tabletop RPGs for kids and youth, and I’m excited to share the link to the 22nd episode here!
In this episode, I talk about some of my personal experiences to give context for why having an option for a fun or low pressure learning environment can be good for EVERYONE not just those who outwardly struggle with the material or setting, and then I talk about how TTRPGs can help with this and why they’re important for providing a good baseline for everyone (and that won’t necessarily single someone out).
