Thank you for a full year with TTRPGkids!

I launched the TTRPGkids site in May 2021 with the hope of building a resource for caregivers to use when playing TTRPG’s with their children!  Since then, it grew well beyond where I had hoped, and I want to thank you all for being part of the journey so far.

The blog expanded from game reviews and interviews into book reviews, featured projects, podcasts lists, creator guides, and more based on the enthusiasm of the amazing community that also grew around this.  

I’ve had the honor to playtest several games before release, interview on podcasts, and even participate in a charity stream.  I’ve gotten to play so many cool games with kiddo and be able to share our experiences with everyone here as well as see my own games be played by other families and classrooms.  It has been an awesome experience to get to try out so many systems and different aspects of the TTRPG community.

I’ve had a fantastic experience making connections too – from creators to community leaders and teachers to fellow parents, I have been grateful for the discussions we’ve had about our kids and just geeking out about TTRPG’s and nerdoms in general.  I’ve gotten to know people that I greatly enjoy talking to and respect, not only because of their TTRPG knowledge but because they’re also just good people. The friendships I’ve made through TTRPGkids are something that I hope to hold onto for a long time to come.

With all of that, I want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the support over the past year, and I look forward to more reviews, discussions, crafts, podcasts, books, events, and friendships to come as we continue to enjoy sharing TTRPG’s with the little ones in our lives.  Here’s to another year (and many more) of playing TTRPG’s with our kids!
