Pocketopia on Backerkit: 67 projects, all portable, easy-to-learn tabletop games

Backerkit is running Pocketopia until April 3, 2025, and it’s a great opportunity to get some awesome games, collect some bonus rewards, and support indie creators! Check out here for some of the TTRPGs in the event to check out!

Pocketopia is full of some wonderful indie games… and I want to shout them all out, but it’s a bit too big! For this post, I’m going to highlight some of the all-ages leaning TTRPG projects in the event and take a look at some other projects of note from creators that TTRPGkids has worked with in some (and who are now maybe working on something cool but not in the all-ages category).

Below, you’ll find a short blurb about each game and a link to the Backerkit page! Many of these games have collaboration partners, which means you get extra bonuses (sometimes extra games, stickers, dice, etc) from both partners in the team up AND if you back 6 Pocketopia projects, Backerkit has an extra dice bag for you!

Greeting Games by TTRPGkids – this one is my project! I made a bunch of mini games and TTRPG references on cards and postcards for sending at the holidays or just because

Brambletrek: Tales in the Hundred Acre Woods by Crossed Paths Press – A Winnie the Pooh spin on Brambletrek, a solo TTRPG about adventurous characters

Unleashed by Critical Kit Ltd – A TTRPG about doggos going on a heist!

A Land Once Magic by Morebluberries – A guide to post-fantasy worldbuilding

Enter the Nostalgiatron by Stillfleet Studio – A 1980’s pop culture themed TTRPG of epicness

Why We Fight by Stop, Drop, & Roll Games Studio – A solarpunk narrative TTRPG that requires no GM

Assemblage by Scryptid Games – A GM-less, card-based world making TTRPG

Sail the Oceans Queer by La Lionne Publishing – A TTRPG about seafarers finding connection in queer identity; this creator also published The Apothecaire’s Apprentice!

Gast: Horror Zine Collection by Hatched Games – While not a kiddo friendly game, this is made by the same people who wrote Cryptid Creeks, Inspirisles, and many other awesome kid-friendly TTRPGs! They created Hatched Games as a seperate publisher from Hatchlings Games to try out diving into horror TTRPGs.

Edinburgh Indie Gamers by Tanya Floaker – While maybe not made for kids, this campaign aims to support a local gaming haven through a zine made by their community, and it looks like a great cause.

I hope this helps you explore the games below and kick off a search into the other awesome games in Pocketopia, and… happy gaming!
