Lucky Newt’s Bundles of Fun!

Lucky Newt Games has launched their very first Crowdfundr, Lucky Newt’s Bundles of Fun! It’s set to go through August 27th and includes 36 games across 7 different themed bundles, all at a great low price with the most updated versions we can produce!

A Bit About Lucky Newt Games from the Lucky Newt Creator!

Over the last 15 years, my partner, Nick, and I made some games to play between the two of us. Once MiniNewt was born though, she inspired us to create games we would want to play with her as she grows. We realized we couldn’t be the only people in search of such games, and thus made Lucky Newt Games. 

We now create games that we take great pride in. Each game is either specifically designed with kids in mind or designed to give enough control over the theme so you can comfortably play them with kids in the room. Our games have been enjoyed by players brand new to the hobby and veteran TTRPG players alike.

Our games are also created to brighten a person’s day. Whether it’s through laughter in Eldritch Pets, self-reflection in Monster Realm: Student Exchange Program, or comfort with Enchanted Blend (in all its many forms), it is our hope to give people more reason to smile. We also seek to create more games that emphasize our drive for friendship and full inclusion, such as in our newest project, Chrysalis Dreams.

With the ever-changing political landscape, however, it is becoming more important for indie game creators to have legal protections. An LLC provides such legal protections.

An LLC, or Limited Liability Company, is “a U.S. legal entity used to own, operate and protect a business. LLCs provide the same legal and financial protections corporations do but can be simpler to operate.” (Forbes). According to Forbes, the first disadvantage of an LLC is cost. Between the filing fee, license application, and the annual report fee (paid every year), the money adds up. This is where you come in.

Our Campaign

Any proceeds raised from the sale of these bundles will support Lucky Newt’s goal of becoming an LLC. We also have some fun Stretch Goals should we manage to surpass our goal, such as free games for all backers and art spots for one of our games. We’re even inviting some incredible guest writers, including TTRPGkids’ own Steph C.

As of writing this, we’re at 56% of our goal. When we reach our goal, art spots will open and every backer will get a copy of Chrysalis Dreams. This brand new TTRPG was inspired by my best friend from highschool and by many of the amazing creators we have met in the TTRPG Community.
